Hi ...
Gas is cheaper now, but we all know that won't last. Just for fun we ran the numbers to see how much you can save if you switch some percentage of your driving from a typical car or truck to one of our fuel-efficient scooters. It's amazing! GO GREEN and $AVE.
Our comparisons are between a typical vehicle averaging 15 mpg and a new Vespa LX 150 with a fuel consumption of 75 mpg.
Here are the Numbers and the Savings!
DRIVING A TOTAL OF 15K miles per year, assuming gas costs $3 a gallon.
TYPICAL VEHICLE FUEL COST = $3000 per year.
USE A VESPA for 25% of TOTAL MILES = $600 SAVINGS per year / $3000 in 5 years!
USE A VESPA for 50% of TOTAL MILES = $1200 SAVINGS per year / $6000 in 5 years.
WOW! and it just gets better if gas prices go up!
*naturally your gas mileage may vary and depends on riding conditions, but 75 mpg is a pretty fair number for the LX150. |
